Ingredients

  • 200 grams Thinly sliced beef (or beef short plate or flank)
  • 15 cm of a thick one Burdock root
  • 1/3 Carrot
  • 7 cm Japanese leek (the white part)
  • 1 Enoki mushrooms
  • 1 Cut Japanese rice cake (square)
  • 1 Katakuriko
  • 2 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 1 1/2 tbsp Sugar
  • 2 tsp Sake
  • 1 1/2 tbsp Water

Method

  • Julienne the burdock and keep it in a water with vinegar to remove the harshness.
  • Julienne the carrot and the Japanese leek and cut the rice cake into rectangles.
  • Roll the vegetables with beef.
  • Burdock and other vegetables and rice cake etc and roll.
  • Pour olive oil in a frying pan and put the katakuriko-coated meat on the pan.
  • Fry it until browned.
  • Pour olive oil in a frying pan and put the meat on the pan.

  • The sauce is soy sauce sugar, sake and water mixed together.
