Ingredients

  • 1 large head cabbage, shredded
  • 1 large sweet onions, sliced thin
  • 1 green pepper, sliced thin
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup olive oil
  • 1 cup vinegar
  • 1 tsp. dry mustard
  • 1 tsp. celery seed
  • 1 Tbsp. salt

Method

  • Shred cabbage into large plastic bowl.
  • Place onions and peppers on top.
  • Sprinkle sugar over all.
  • DO NOT STIR!!!
  • Put rest of ingredients into a saucepan and bring to full boil.
  • Pour over cabbage mixture.
  • AGAIN,
  • DO NOT STIR!!!
  • Cover and refrigerate for at least 12 hours.
  • (This can remain saturating for 3 days in fridge.)
  • Makes 6 servings.
