- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion medium, chopped
- 1 cup mushrooms chopped
- 2 tablespoons seasoned salt Lawry's(R)
- 3 tablespoons McCormick Chili Powder
- 1 teaspoon red pepper McCormick(R), Ground
- 2 tablespoons minced garlic about 3 cloves
- 2 cups water
- 2 cans tomato sauce 15 ounces each
- 2 cans kidney beans 15 ounces each, drained
- 2 tablespoons light brown sugar
Method
- Cook ground beef, onion and mushrooms in large skillet on medium-high heat 6 to 8 minutes or until beef is browned, stirring occasionally. Drain fat.
- Stir in seasonings and garlic. Cook and stir 1 minute. Stir in remaining ingredients. Bring to boil. Reduce heat to medium-low; simmer 35 to 40 minutes or until slightly thickened.
