- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1/3 c. chopped green pepper
- 3/4 c. water
- 1/3 c. onion, chopped
- 16 oz. tomato paste
- 1 (1 1/2 oz.) pkg. spaghetti sauce mix
- 1 pie crust
- 1/3 c. Parmesan cheese
- 1 1/2 c. Mozzarella cheese
Method
- Preheat oven to 400°.
- Brown ground beef in skillet; add green pepper and onion.
- Cook 2 minutes.
- Add water, tomato paste and spaghetti sauce mix.
- Cover and simmer 10 minutes.
- Sprinkle 1/2 Parmesan cheese over bottom of pie crust.
- Spread 1/2 of meat sauce, then sprinkle 1 cup Mozzarella.
- Layer remaining meat sauce and Parmesan cheese.
- Bake on cookie sheet for 15 minutes. Sprinkle with remaining Mozzarella cheese.
- Return to oven until cheese melts.
