Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1/3 c. chopped green pepper
  • 3/4 c. water
  • 1/3 c. onion, chopped
  • 16 oz. tomato paste
  • 1 (1 1/2 oz.) pkg. spaghetti sauce mix
  • 1 pie crust
  • 1/3 c. Parmesan cheese
  • 1 1/2 c. Mozzarella cheese

Method

  • Preheat oven to 400°.
  • Brown ground beef in skillet; add green pepper and onion.
  • Cook 2 minutes.
  • Add water, tomato paste and spaghetti sauce mix.
  • Cover and simmer 10 minutes.
  • Sprinkle 1/2 Parmesan cheese over bottom of pie crust.
  • Spread 1/2 of meat sauce, then sprinkle 1 cup Mozzarella.
  • Layer remaining meat sauce and Parmesan cheese.
  • Bake on cookie sheet for 15 minutes. Sprinkle with remaining Mozzarella cheese.
  • Return to oven until cheese melts.
