Ingredients
- 1 large or 2 small heads cabbage, chopped or grated
- 2 medium onions, chopped
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1 c. vinegar
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- 1 c. cooking oil
- 1 Tbsp. celery seed
- bell pepper to taste (optional)
Method
- Set cabbage and onions aside.
- Mix remaining ingredients in a pot and bring to a boil.
- Pour over cabbage and onions.
- Stir well.
- Let cool and store in refrigerator in a container with tight fitting lid.
- Stores well.
