Ingredients
- 3/4 c. shortening, melted
- 2 eggs, well beaten
- 2 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
- 3 1/2 c. self-rising flour
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Method
- Melt shortening and cool.
- Combine eggs and sugar and beat. Add shortening and blend, then add flour and vanilla and blend. Shape into 3 rolls, 2 inches in diameter.
- Wrap each in wax paper. Store in refrigerator overnight.
- Cut in thin slices with sharp knife and place on baking sheets, greased.
- Bake at 375° for 12 to 15 minutes.
- Makes 5 dozen.
