- 1/2 lb. ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. pepper
- 1 small can mushroom pieces and liquid
- 1 (46 oz.) can tomato juice
- 4 potatoes, peeled and cubed
- 2 large carrots, peeled and sliced thin
- 1 can cut green beans and liquid
- 1/2 tsp. oregano
- 1/4 tsp. basil and thyme
- 2 c. elbow macaroni, uncooked
Method
- Brown beef and onion in Dutch oven.
- Drain off grease.
- Add remaining ingredients, except macaroni.
- Stir well and bring to boil.
- Add macaroni.
- Stir well again.
- Cover.
- Reduce heat to medium and cook until vegetables are tender, about 45 minutes. `Recipe may be doubled.
- Very good on a cold night.
