Ingredients

  • 2 grapefruits, peeled and sectioned (save 1/2 cup of juice)
  • 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. soy sauce
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. salad oil

Method

  • Brown onion and garlic in oil until brown.
  • Add sugar, soy sauce, lemon juice and grapefruit juice.
  • Simmer until mixed and sugar is dissolved.
  • Arrange grapefruit sections on a lettuce leaf, making 4 individual salad plates.
  • Pour mixture over each equally. Serve hot or place in refrigerator to cool.
