Ingredients

  • Sauce:
  • 1/4 cup + 2 TBSP Ketchup
  • 1/2 cup + 1 TBSP Sugar
  • 3/4 cup H2O
  • 2 TBSP soy sauce
  • 2 TBSP corn starch mixed
  • Batter for Tofu:
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/4 tea baking soda
  • 3/4 tea baking powder
  • 1/4 tea salt
  • 1/2 cup H2O
  • 13 oz Tofu cubed
  • 8 oz diced green & red pepper
  • 6 oz sliced onion
  • 3/4 cup pineapple pieces

Method

  • For sauce, combine everthing but 1/4 c H2O + 2TBSP corn starch and bring to boil. Once boiling, add rest of H2O and corn starch. Cook briefly until thickened, take off heat.
  • For tofu, combine batter ingrediants & coat dry cubes of tofu. Deep fry at 350 degrees.
  • Saute onions and peppers until cooked, combined with fried tofu, pineapple bits and sauce. Serve over rice.
