Ingredients
- 2 Cups warm water
- 2 Cups whole wheat flour
- 1 Tbs. dry active yeast
- 1 ts. salt
- 1/3 Cup honey
- 1/3 Cup oil or melted butter
- 5 Cups all purpose flour
Method
- dissolve yeast in water with honey and stir well
- mix in whole wheat flour, salt, and oil or butter
- work all purpose flour in gradually
- knead for at least 10-15 minutes
- place in well oiled bowl, cover with a towel and let rise until doubled in bulk
- punch down dough and knead again
- place in 2 well oiled 9X5 loaf pans and let rise until doubled in bulk
- bake at 375 for about 30 minutes
