Ingredients
- 3 to 4 lb. smoked ham (pork shoulder)
- 3 Tbsp. sugar
- 3 Tbsp. water
- 1 1/2 tsp. honey
Method
- Cut meat off bone.
- Use 12 ounces.
- Steam 30 minutes.
- Cool. Remove skin; cut off fat.
- Slice into small pieces (2 or 3 inches round).
- Steam again, 30 minutes.
- Remove juices. Boil water.
- Add sugar and ham.
- Stir 1 to 2 minutes until sugar dissolves and bubbles appear.
- Add honey until mixture is complete, about 30 seconds.
