Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 2 Tbsp. pistachio nuts, coarsely chopped

Method

  • Preheat oven to 275°.
  • Grease an 8 inch square baking pan and set aside.
  • In a small bowl, with electric mixer at medium speed, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Beat in flour until well mixed.
  • Pat dough evenly into bottom of pan.
  • With tines of fork, prick dough all over to prevent bubbles from forming during baking.
  • Bake 1 hour or until pale golden. Do not allow to brown. Remove from oven.
