- 1/2 c. butter or margarine
- 1 1/3 c. brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/4 c. milk
- 1/4 c. nonfat dry milk crystals
- 1/4 c. wheat germ
- 1 c. unsifted whole wheat flour
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. baking soda
- 2 c. peanut butter chips or chocolate chips
- 1 c. raisins
Method
- Cream together butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla until light and fluffy.
- Blend in milk.
- Add dry milk crystals, wheat germ, flour, baking powder and soda.
- Beat until well combined.
- Fold in peanut butter chips and raisins.
- Spread mixture evenly in a greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan.
- Bake at 350° for 30 to 35 minutes.
- When cool, cut into bars and wrap individually in foil or plastic wrap.
