Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. butter or margarine
  • 1 1/3 c. brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/4 c. milk
  • 1/4 c. nonfat dry milk crystals
  • 1/4 c. wheat germ
  • 1 c. unsifted whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp. baking soda
  • 2 c. peanut butter chips or chocolate chips
  • 1 c. raisins

Method

  • Cream together butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla until light and fluffy.
  • Blend in milk.
  • Add dry milk crystals, wheat germ, flour, baking powder and soda.
  • Beat until well combined.
  • Fold in peanut butter chips and raisins.
  • Spread mixture evenly in a greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan.
  • Bake at 350° for 30 to 35 minutes.
  • When cool, cut into bars and wrap individually in foil or plastic wrap.
