Ingredients

  • 6 slices white bread
  • 1 (8 oz.) pkg. grated cheddar cheese
  • 1 lb. mild sausage
  • 6 eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 tsp. dry mustard
  • 2 c. milk
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper

Method

  • Cook sausage and break into small pieces.
  • Drain well. Break bread into 9x13 baking dish.
  • Add layer of sausage and a layer of cheese until all is used.
  • Beat eggs and add seasonings and milk. Pour over mixture and cover with foil.
  • Refrigerate overnight. Bake one hour covered at 350°.
  • Great for brunch.
  • Serves 8.
