Ingredients
- 1 c. butter or margarine, softened
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 3/4 c. packed light brown sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 c. (12 oz. pkg.) semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 2 1/4 c. unsifted all-purpose flour
- 1 c. chopped nuts (optional)
Method
- Cream butter or margarine, sugar, brown sugar and vanilla until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs; beat well.
- Combine flour, baking soda and salt; gradually beat into creamed mixture.
- Stir in chocolate chips and nuts.
- Drop by teaspoons onto ungreased cookie sheet.
- Bake at 375° for 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly browned.
- Cool slightly; remove from cookie sheet.
