Ingredients

  • 1 lb. Italian sweet sausage, cooked
  • 1 lb. ground beef, cooked
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 (16 oz.) cans tomato puree
  • 2 (6 oz.) cans tomato paste
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • pepper, basil and salt to taste
  • 4 c. Ricotta cheese
  • 8 oz. Mozzarella cheese
  • Parmesan cheese
  • 2 Tbsp. parsley
  • 1 (8 oz.) pkg. manicotti shells

Method

  • Cook
  • the
  • sausage
  • and
  • beef. Add
  • the
  • onion, tomato puree, tomato paste, sugar, pepper, basil and salt to the meat mixture. Cook
  • the
  • manicotti
  • shells;
  • drain
  • and set aside. Mix
  • together the Ricotta cheese, Mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese
  • and parsley;
  • stuff
  • in
  • the cooked manicotti shells. Spoon
  • meat sauce into baking pan.
  • Put stuffed shells on meat sauce.
  • Pour leftover
  • meat
  • sauce over shells; sprinkle with Parmesan. Preheat oven to 325° and bake for 30 minutes.
