Ingredients

  • 8 ounce. kielbasa, sliced 1/4-inch thick (1 cube mine)
  • 1 teaspoon oil
  • 1 med. onion, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon basil
  • 1 sm. cabbage, shredded coarse
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 (16 ounce.) can tomatoes
  • 1 (20 ounce.) can cannellini, liquid removed
  • 2 c. water

Method

  • In large pan brown sausage in oil.
  • Remove sausage; pour off all but 1 Tbsp.
  • fat.
  • Add in onion and saute/fry till tender.
  • Stir in salt, pepper, thyme, and basil; then add in cabbage, tomatoes, sausage, and water.
  • Bring to boil; reduce heat, cover, and simmer 15 min.
  • Stir in beans; cook 5 min or possibly till cabbage is done as desired and beans are heated through.
