Ingredients

  • 9 lb. lean pork, cut in 1-inch cubes
  • 3 1/3 c. pineapple juice
  • 1 (No. 10) can chunk pineapple
  • 1 1/3 cubes margarine
  • 1/3 c. soy sauce
  • 2/3 lb. celery, chopped
  • 1 1/3 c. green peppers, chopped
  • 2/3 c. vinegar
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • salt to taste
  • Accent to taste
  • 1/3 c. cornstarch

Method

  • Brown meat in margarine.
  • Cover tightly and simmer until meat is tender.
  • Add vinegar, pineapple juice, celery and bell pepper. Simmer until tender.
  • Add remaining ingredients, stir constantly until mixture thickens.
  • Serves 50 family style or 60 to 65 plates.
