Ingredients

  • 2 lb. hash brown potatoes
  • 1/2 stick butter, melted
  • 1/2 c. chopped onions
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • dash of garlic powder
  • 1 pt. sour cream
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 8 oz. cheese, shredded

Method

  • Mix all ingredients together and place in 9 x 13-inch pan. Make topping by crushing 2 cups corn flakes and 1/2 cup melted butter to sprinkle over casserole.
  • Bake at 350° for 45 to 60 minutes.
  • This can be prepared ahead of time, placed in the refrigerator and baked prior to serving.
