Ingredients

  • 1 c. apple butter
  • 1 c. pumpkin (frozen, fresh or canned)
  • 1/2 c. brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 3/4 tsp. nutmeg
  • 3/4 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp. ginger
  • 3 eggs, unbeaten
  • 1 c. light cream, scalded until hot
  • 9-inch pie crust, unbaked

Method

  • Combine apple butter, pumpkin, brown sugar, salt and spices; add eggs and beat well.
  • Gradually add cream and mix thoroughly. Pour into an unbaked pie crust.
  • Bake at 425° for 15 minutes; reduce heat to 375° and bake for 20 to 25 minutes.
