Ingredients
- 1 c. apple butter
- 1 c. pumpkin (frozen, fresh or canned)
- 1/2 c. brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 3/4 tsp. nutmeg
- 3/4 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/8 tsp. ginger
- 3 eggs, unbeaten
- 1 c. light cream, scalded until hot
- 9-inch pie crust, unbaked
Method
- Combine apple butter, pumpkin, brown sugar, salt and spices; add eggs and beat well.
- Gradually add cream and mix thoroughly. Pour into an unbaked pie crust.
- Bake at 425° for 15 minutes; reduce heat to 375° and bake for 20 to 25 minutes.
