Ingredients
- 4 c. self-rising flour
- 2/3 c. shortening
- 2 Tbsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 2 c. buttermilk
- 1 stick butter or margarine
Method
- Mix biscuits as usual.
- Place butter in bread pan, place in oven to melt.
- Remove pan from oven and leave 1/2 of butter in pan.
- Use remaining butter to spoon on top of biscuit.
- Bake at 375° until golden brown on top and bottom.
