Ingredients
- 4 or 5 lb. brisket
- 1 can consomme soup
- 1 small bottle soy sauce
- 1/4 c. lemon juice
- garlic to taste
- 1 Tbsp. liquid smoke
- 1/2 c. barbecue sauce
Method
- Combine ingredients, all but barbecue sauce, pour over meat and marinate overnight.
- Bake in liquid for 4 hours for 4 pounds or 5 hours for 5 pounds at 300°.
- Baste occasionally during baking. Cover until last hour and then remove cover and pour cup barbecue sauce over and increase temperature to 350°.
