- 1 lb. ground hamburger or turkey
- 1 c. diced onion
- 2 c. diced carrots
- 2 c. diced potatoes
- 1 c. diced celery
- 2 c. tomato juice
- 1 Tbsp. beef bouillon
- 3 1/2 c. water
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 1/2 c. rice, barley or lentils
Method
- Brown meat.
- Add remaining ingredients and simmer 1 hour or until veggies are done.
- Serving size:
- 1 cup = 155.5 calories.
