Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 (16 oz.) can green beans
  • 1 large can tomato sauce or pizza sauce
  • 2 tsp. chopped onion
  • 1 c. biscuit mix
  • 1/3 c. milk
  • Cheddar cheese, cut in 1/2-inch cubes

Method

  • Brown beef; drain off fat.
  • Season to taste with salt and pepper.
  • Stir in onion, beans and sauce.
  • Beat until stiff and sticky the biscuit mix and milk.
  • Wrap a little dough around a cube of cheese and seal.
  • Drop into simmering mixture.
  • Cover; simmer for about 5 minutes.
  • Serve with a green salad.
