Ingredients
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1/3 c. chopped onions
- 1 Tbsp. cooking oil
- 2 tsp. chili powder
- 3/4 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1 can tomatoes
- 1 can kidney beans (chili style best)
- 1 box Jiffy mix cornbread mix
Method
- Brown meat; drain excess grease.
- Add cooking oil and onions and cook until onions are clear, about 1 minute.
- Add seasoning and tomatoes.
- Cover and simmer 15 minutes.
- Then add beans and heat. Put in very large oiled baking dish or large skillet and top with cornbread batter.
- Bake at 450° for 20 minutes, or until bread browns.
- Good on cold days.
