Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground ham
  • 1/2 lb. ground lean pork
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/4 c. soft bread crumbs
  • 3/4 c. milk
  • 1/2 c. packed brown sugar
  • 4 tsp. prepared mustard
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper

Method

  • Mix ham, pork, eggs, bread crumbs, milk, 1/4 cup of the brown sugar, 2 teaspoons of the mustard and the pepper.
  • Spread ham mixture in ungreased loaf pan (9 x 5 x 3-inch or 8 1/2 x 4 1/2 x 2 1/2-inch).
  • Mix remaining brown sugar and mustard; spread over ham mixture.
  • Cook, uncovered, in 350° oven until done, about 1 1/2 hours.
  • Yields 8 servings.
