Ingredients
- 6 qt. cut green tomatoes
- 1/2 c. salt
- 1 qt. carrots, sliced
- 8 c. sugar
- 1 c. lime (canning lime)
- 3 qt. cut onions
- 1/2 gal. vinegar
Method
- Cut tomatoes; cover with lime and water.
- Let stand for 24 hours.
- Rinse lime off real well.
- Put salt over tomatoes and cover with cold water.
- Let stand while you cut up other ingredients.
