Ingredients

  • 2 sinks full of green tomatoes
  • 2 heads garlic
  • 1 handful fresh ground cumin
  • salt to taste
  • red chili powder to taste

Method

  • Wash tomatoes; quarter and remove all seeds.
  • Peel garlic.
  • Put all ingredients in large pot with a quart of water.
  • Watch pot so tomatoes won't stick.
  • Add water as needed.
  • When all tomatoes are tender, take off stove and cool.
  • Run everything through blender. Return to stove; bring to a boil.
  • Put in quart jars and process 45 minutes.
  • Makes 7 to 9 quarts.
