Ingredients

  • 4 c. flour
  • 2 c. old fashioned oats
  • 2 tsp. baking soda
  • 2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/2 c. margarine, softened
  • 2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 can (16 oz.) pumpkin
  • 1 pkg. chocolate chips

Method

  • Preheat oven to 350°.
  • Combine flour, oats, soda, cinnamon and salt.
  • Set aside.
  • Cream butter; gradually add sugars, beating until light and fluffy.
  • Add egg and vanilla; mix well.
  • Alternate additions of dry ingredients and pumpkin, mixing well after each addition.
  • Stir in morsels.
  • Bake at 350° until lightly browned. Makes 8 to 10 dozen.
