Ingredients
- diced potatoes
- 2 stalks celery
- 1 medium onion
- salt to taste
- 1/4 c. butter
- 1 c. flour
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1 egg
- 3 pt. milk
Method
- Cook first five ingredients together.
- Mix together flour, salt and pepper.
- Make a hole in flour and break 1 egg.
- Mix together so that mixture looks like pie crust before adding water. These are called rivels.
- When potatoes are cooked, add milk and let come to a full boil.
- Add rivels and let cook for a few minutes (approximately 5 to 10 minutes).
