- 1 pkg. bread stuffing
- 1 c. water
- 1 stick oleo
- 2 1/2 c. cooked chicken, cut in pieces
- 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 1/4 c. chopped green onion tops or chives
- 1/2 c. celery, chopped
- 1/2 c. mayonnaise
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- 2 eggs
- 1 1/2 c. milk
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 pkg. grated American cheese
Method
- Mix together stuffing, water and oleo.
- Spread 1/2 in buttered 9 x 12-inch baking dish, then mix chicken, onions, celery, mayonnaise and salt.
- Place in baking dish on top of stuffing mixture, then top with remaining 1/2 of mixture.
- Beat eggs and milk and pour over bread mixture.
- Cover with foil and refrigerate overnight.
