Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. bread stuffing
  • 1 c. water
  • 1 stick oleo
  • 2 1/2 c. cooked chicken, cut in pieces
  • 1/2 c. chopped onion
  • 1/4 c. chopped green onion tops or chives
  • 1/2 c. celery, chopped
  • 1/2 c. mayonnaise
  • 3/4 tsp. salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/2 c. milk
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 pkg. grated American cheese

Method

  • Mix together stuffing, water and oleo.
  • Spread 1/2 in buttered 9 x 12-inch baking dish, then mix chicken, onions, celery, mayonnaise and salt.
  • Place in baking dish on top of stuffing mixture, then top with remaining 1/2 of mixture.
  • Beat eggs and milk and pour over bread mixture.
  • Cover with foil and refrigerate overnight.
