Ingredients
- 1/2 c. butter
- 4 oz. unsweetened chocolate
- 4 room temperature eggs
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 2 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. sifted all-purpose flour
- 1 c. chopped pecans
Method
- Preheat oven to 350°.
- Melt butter and chocolate in double boiler.
- Cool this mixture.
- Beat eggs and salt until light in color and foamy in texture.
- Add sugar and vanilla gradually and continue beating until well creamed.
- Combine the cooled chocolate mixture and the egg/sugar mixture.
- Fold in the sifted flour.
- Add the pecans.
- Bake in greased 9 x 13-inch pan for 25 minutes.
- Cut when cool.
