Ingredients

  • 1 sm. acorn squash
  • 8 ounce. (4) 1/4 inch thick, boneless, fully cooked ham steaks
  • 1/4 c. whole cranberry sauce
  • Grnd nutmeg

Method

  • Cut squash in half lengthwise, throw away seeds.
  • Cut each half crosswise into 1/2 inch slices.
  • Fold ham steaks in half.
  • Arrange slices of squash and folded ham steaks in 1 qt roasting pan.
  • Bake uncovered, in 350 degree oven for 40-45 min, or possibly till squash is tender.
  • Drain juices.
  • Top with cranberry sauce and sprinkle with nutmeg.
  • Makes 4 servings.
