- brisket of beef
- salt and pepper
- garlic salt
- paprika
- 2 pkg. dried onion soup mix
- 2 c. water
- 1/2 doz. gingersnaps
- chili sauce
- 8 potatoes
- 5 carrots
- 3 onions, quartered
Method
- Preheat oven to 350°.
- Sprinkle salt, pepper, garlic salt and of brisket.
- Empty onion soup mix on bottom of pan.
- Add water and brisket.
- Add the gingersnaps to the juice around brisket.
- Spread chili sauce on top of brisket.
- Add the potatoes, carrots and onions; bake for 1 1/2 hours at 350°. Remove brisket and slice on a cutting board.
- Put the sliced brisket back in gravy until tender, about 1/2 to 1 hour.
