Ingredients
- 2 c. salt
- 1 gal. water
- 1 gal. thin sliced cucumbers
- 2 1/2 qt. vinegar
- 1 stick cinnamon
- 1 tsp. whole cloves
- 6 c. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. celery seed
Method
- Bring to a boil and pour
- over pickles; let stand 3 days. Drain solution.
- Add 1 cup sugar; reheat
- and pour onto pickles. Let stand 3 days.
- Repeat until 3 cups

- been
- added. Pack pickles into jars.
- Heat vinegar solution.
- Pour
- over pickles and seal.
- (Will also keep without sealing.)
