Ingredients
- 1 c. molasses
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 3 c. flour
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. soda
Method
- Heat molasses and shortening together.
- Sift and measure flour.
- Sift again with ginger, salt and soda.
- Add to first mixture.
- Warm, mix and chill dough.
- Toss on lightly floured board and roll very thin.
- Cut in shapes.
- Place on well-greased tin in moderate oven.
- These are hard and snap.
