Ingredients

  • 2 thinly sliced round steaks
  • 2 tsp. mustard
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1 small dill pickle
  • 2 slices bacon
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1 Tbsp. flour

Method

  • Sprinkle meat tenderizers on each side and pound.
  • Spread mustard thinly over meat; season with salt and pepper.
  • Sprinkle chopped onion and pickle over each piece and place bacon over each piece.
  • Roll up and fasten with toothpicks.
  • Brown in small amount of fat.
  • Add 1/2 cup water and simmer 1 hour or until tender.
  • Use flour to make a paste to thicken gravy.
  • Serve over meat.
