Ingredients
- 6 potatoes
- 6 to 10 fried slices bacon
- 3/4 c. chopped onion
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 1 to 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. celery seed
- 3/4 c. water
- 1/2 c. vinegar
Method
- Boil potatoes in their skin.
- Peel and slice.
- Fry bacon and set aside.
- Cook onion in bacon fat.
- Add flour, salt, celery seed, water and vinegar to onion and cook until it boils.
- Boil one minute.
- Pour over potatoes and add bacon.
- Cover and let stand.
- Serve warm.
