Ingredients
- 2 sticks margarine
- 5 c. sugar
- 1 large can evaporated milk
- 1 (12 oz.) semi-sweet chocolate bits
- 1 c. nuts
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 tsp. salt
Method
- Stir sugar, butter, milk and salt until mixed.
- Boil 6 minutes after coming to a rolling boil.
- Stir constantly.
- Be sure to time carefully. Remove from heat.
- Add nuts, chocolate bits and vanilla.
- Stir until almost cool.
- Pour into buttered pan.
