Ingredients

  • 4 1/2 c. granulated sugar
  • 1 large can evaporated milk
  • 3 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips or 4 c.
  • 1 (10 oz.) pkg. miniature marshmallows
  • 1/2 c. butter or oleo
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 c. chopped nuts

Method

  • Mix sugar and milk in a large heavy saucepan and slowly bring to a rolling boil.
  • Let this boil for 8 minutes.
  • Remove the saucepan from the heat and add chocolate chips, marshmallows and butter.
  • Mix only until the chips and marshmallows are melted. Add vanilla and nuts. Blend.
  • Spread the mixture in a large ungreased pan or platter.
  • Let cool.
