Ingredients
- 4 sq. unsweetened chocolate
- 1/2 c. butter or margarine
- 4 eggs
- 2 c. sugar
- 1 c. unsifted all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. coarsely chopped nuts (optional)
Method
- Melt
- chocolate
- and
- butter in saucepan over low heat; cool slightly.
- Beat
- eggs
- slightly,
- then gradually beat in sugar and continue
- beating
- for
- to
- 3 minutes.
- Blend in chocolate mixture.
- Stir in flour, then add vanilla and nuts. Spread in
- a greased 13 x 9-inch pan.
- Bake at 325° for about 30 to
- 35 minutes.
- Cool; cut in squares or bars.
- Makes about 2 dozen cookies.
