Ingredients
- 3 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 c. warm milk
- 1 pkg. yeast
- 1/2 lb. butter
- 1 tsp. salt
- 4 egg yolks (unbeaten)
- 4 c. flour
- 4 egg whites, beaten stiff
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 c. nuts, chopped
- 1 c. cherries, chopped
Method
- Mix the first 3 ingredients.
- Mix the butter, salt, egg yolks and flour as for pie crust (butter, flour and salt, then add yolks).
- Mix together with the milk mixture and let rise.
- Divide dough into 3 pieces.
- Roll about 1/4 inch thick.
