Ingredients
- 4 c. pared and thin sliced cucumbers
- 2 c. thin sliced onions
- 1/2 c. white vinegar (no other kind)
- 1 tsp. dill weed
- 4 tsp. salt
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. water
Method
- Combine cucumbers, onion, salt and water.
- Let stand in glass or enamelware
- bowl
- for
- 2 hours.
- Drain well, do not rinse; return to bowl.
- Add sugar, vinegar and dill weed. Let stand, stirring occasionally, until sugar is dissolved, about 1 1/2 hours.
- Cover bowl while cucumbers are standing.
- Put in containers and freeze.
