Ingredients

  • Manchego cheese
  • Bread crumbs (preferably use slightly stale bread)
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • Plain flour, seasoned to taste

Method

  • Cut the manchego cheese into fingers.
  • Place each of the remaining 3 ingredients on 3 seperate plates, then in turn coat each finger of cheese in flour, followed by egg, followed by bread crumbs.
  • Repeat the process with each finger, then place in a hot deep fat fryer at roughly 350F/180C for 4 minutes, or until golden.
  • Serve immediately with a peppery salad.
