Ingredients
- 1 qt. fresh strawberries
- 3 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 c. boiling water
- 1 pie shell, baked
Method
- Crush 1 cup berries.
- Mix sugar, salt, cornstarch, crushed berries and water.
- Cook until thickened.
- Cool.
- Put 3 cups berries in cooled pie shell.
- Pour cooled sauce over them.
- Top with whipped cream.
- Garnish with several berries.
- Refrigerate until serving time.
