Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground pork
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 small onion, chopped fine
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. pepper
  • 1/4 tsp. allspice
  • 3 medium potatoes

Method

  • Cook onions in oil until soft; add all other ingredients except potatoes and completely cover with water.
  • Cook until meat is brown.
  • After potatoes are cooked, mash them slightly (should be in small pieces).
  • Add potatoes to meat mixture and skim most of liquid.
  • Put in crust and bake until crust is golden brown.
  • To make 2 pies, bake at 300° for 1 hour.
