Ingredients

  • 1 (16 oz.) loaf French bread
  • 1 c. butter or margarine, melted
  • 2 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 2 tsp. Italian seasoning
  • 1 tsp. salt

Method

  • Preheat the oven to 300°.
  • Using an electric knife, slice bread into very thin (1/8-inch thick) slices about 1-inch wide and 2 1/2 inches long.
  • Place slices in a large mixing bowl.
  • In a small bowl, combine remaining ingredients.
  • Pour butter mixture over slices; toss well to combine.
  • Spread on lightly greased baking sheets.
  • Stirring occasionally, bake 40 minutes or until golden brown and crisp.
  • Yields about 9 cups of chips.
