Ingredients
- 1 (16 oz.) loaf French bread
- 1 c. butter or margarine, melted
- 2 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
- 2 tsp. Italian seasoning
- 1 tsp. salt
Method
- Preheat the oven to 300°.
- Using an electric knife, slice bread into very thin (1/8-inch thick) slices about 1-inch wide and 2 1/2 inches long.
- Place slices in a large mixing bowl.
- In a small bowl, combine remaining ingredients.
- Pour butter mixture over slices; toss well to combine.
- Spread on lightly greased baking sheets.
- Stirring occasionally, bake 40 minutes or until golden brown and crisp.
- Yields about 9 cups of chips.
