Ingredients
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. evaporated milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 Tbsp. butter
- 2 c. pecan halves
Method
- Blend sugar, salt and evaporated milk.
- Cook to 232° (soft ball stage).
- Remove from heat.
- Add vanilla, butter and pecan halves.
- Beat just until candy begins to thicken.
- Drop by tablespoonfuls onto wax paper
- (work fast for candy hardens quickly).
- Yields 1 1/2 dozen.
