Ingredients
- 1 (10 oz.) bottle Kikkoman teriyaki sauce
- 1/2 to 3/4 c. packed dark brown sugar
- 1 medium onion, thinly sliced and separated into rings
- 2 to 3 cloves fresh garlic, thinly sliced
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- water
Method
- In a large, shallow plastic or glass container, combine 1/2 bottle of sauce, brown sugar, salt and pepper.
- Stir until sugar is dissolved.
- Float onion and garlic in mixture; stir.
- Add meat (steak, boneless chicken, chicken wings, pork and/or lamb); up to 3 pounds.
- Add water until mixture covers meat.
- Stir around meat well to blend in water.
- Cover and refrigerate 2 hours or overnight, turning meat in marinade occasionally.
