Ingredients

  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup oats
  • 1/2 mixed wheat germ and flax
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 3/4 cup walnuts, toasted, chopped tossed in a bunch of cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 2 tbs oil
  • 2 cup mashed ripe bananas
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Method

  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Whisk first 4 ingredients in medium bowl to blend. Combine cinnamon and walnuts in small bowl and add to above mixture.
  • Beat butter in large bowl until fluffy. Gradually add sugar, beating until well blended. Beat in sour cream. Beat in mashed bananas, lemon juice and vanilla extract. mix in flour mixture. mixture. add chips.
  • Bake 20-25 min until tester inserted into center comes out clean. Turn out onto rack and cool.
